New Features
Redirect To Service After Checkout
We are excited to introduce a new setting in the general settings, enabled by default, that redirects customers to their individual order page after completing the checkout process in SureCart. This feature aims to streamline the customer experience by directing them immediately to the service page where they may need to sign a contract or submit requirements, ensuring no steps are missed. If this setting is disabled, customers will be redirected to the main Customer Dashboard as usual.

Custom Starting Service ID Number
We have introduced a setting that allows you to choose the starting service ID number for each new service. This is particularly useful if you want to avoid starting with the number 1 or other low numbers, which can make it obvious to customers that they are among the first clients. So now, this setting allows you to create a more established and professional impression by setting a higher starting ID number. The service IDs will be assigned sequentially from that point forward. Please note that your starting number must be greater than any existing service number.

Manually Mark Services As Started
We have introduced a new option in the Actions dropdown called “Start Service.” This feature addresses a scenario in which the requirements are shared outside the platform through other communication channels like email or text messages rather than the official requirements page. By selecting “Start Service,” you can manually mark the service as started, changing the service status to “Work In Progress.”

After choosing the “Start Service” option, a confirmation popup window will appear to confirm if you want to start the service.

Updated Service Details Header And Sidebar
Initially, we had a mix of order details and product details in the header area on the individual service pages, along with a sidebar block that appeared with some order details after the service was completed. We’ve now updated this with a more thoughtful approach. The header area now contains product details such as the logo, name, variants (new), and service start date. The sidebar now includes order details like the order date, number, and amount. This separation provides a more organized structure for both the admin and customer views.

Display Product Variant Details In Individual Service
SureCart’s product variant feature is ideal for custom services! This feature allows you to set up custom deliverables that customers can configure to order exactly what they need, such as custom sizes, colors, or included features. We are now pleased to prominently display the product variants from the order on the individual service page, making it easy to reference them as you work on the service order.

Set File Upload Fields As Optional
We have introduced a new feature that allows you to make the file upload requirement field optional. This is particularly useful in scenarios where the requested file is not relevant or just not needed, depending on the type of project. By default, this setting is enabled but can be disabled as needed.

Display Associated Services On Customer Profile
SureCart includes a “Customer” profile page, which serves as a hub for viewing orders, payments, subscriptions, license keys, and other customer details. To enhance our integration with SureCart, we have now added the services associated with the customer to their profile page. This update provides admins with a cohesive and seamless experience, allowing them to see and access everything related to the customer, including any services they have ordered.

Pending Service Notification Numbers
We are pleased to introduce pending service notification badges! This is a significant improvement for both admins and customers, allowing them to see at a glance if any service requires their attention. The orange notification number will be familiar to WordPress users and will ensure that both admins and customers stay informed about pending actions needed.
For admins, the notification number indicates the number of services with the “Work In Progress” status, as these are the only services that require action from the admin until the customer responds.

We added a similar notification icon to the Services menu in the Customer Dashboard. For customers, the notification number indicates the number of services that are either “Waiting For Contract,” “Waiting For Requirements,” or “Waiting For Approval.”

Display Pending Services Notice In Customer Dashboard
The Services for SureCart addon relies on customers promptly providing requirement details and approvals before an order can be completed. To ensure customers do not miss any services awaiting their action, we are introducing a new WordPress block and shortcode (for page builders). This feature allows you to display a notice anywhere in the Customer Dashboard or on any other page to notify the customer to take necessary actions to ensure timely delivery.
The alert is only shown to customers and only appears if they have pending notifications. By default, this notice will appear at the top of the Customer Dashboard. Once dismissed, the alert will not reappear unless a new notification arrives.

As mentioned, the notice is available as both a WordPress Block and a shortcode, allowing full integration with page builders. The shortcode for this is: [surelywp_services_alert]

Additional Improvements
- Updated the alignment of the services list columns to be left aligned.
- Fixed missing dot typo in contract signature placeholder
- Renamed the services block to “Services List”
