Product Page Inquire Now Form Settings & Features

Inquiry Forms Feature

The Inquiry Forms feature is designed to help you connect directly with potential customers by adding a contact method to your SureCart product pages. Whether you want a convenient contact method for pre-sales questions, or are running a full catalog mode store and want to collect wholesale requests or bulk custom quotes, this feature offers a flexible way to engage with buyers before they make a purchase. It works in any store, but is especially useful for B2B and wholesale scenarios, where conversations often need to happen before checkout.

Enable Products For Inquiry Forms

Adding inquiry forms to your products is easy and flexible. You can quickly enable inquiry forms for all products, individual products, or products in collections using our centralized settings. Go to the B2B For SureCart settings, open the Inquiry Forms tab, and select which products should display an inquiry form.

Choose Products for Inquiry Forms in the B2B For SureCart Settings

To add inquiry forms to products, navigate to the Inquiry Forms tab in the B2B For SureCart settings. Under Products For Inquiry Form, select one of three options:

  • All Products to enable inquiry forms across your entire store.
  • Specific Products to select individual products by name.
  • Specific Product Collections to enable inquiry forms on entire groups of products at once.

This provides a fast, centralized way to control which products have the inquiry form feature.

Select User Roles For Inquiry Forms in the B2B For SureCart addon by SurelyWP

Display Inquiry Buttons For Specific User Roles NEW!

Enable inquiry form buttons for specific WordPress user roles, allowing you to control exactly who can submit product inquiries. This makes it easy to offer inquiries exclusively to wholesale customers, distributors, or other approved user groups, while everyone else continues to browse your store normally.

Choose Inquiry Form Display Method

After selecting which products should have inquiry forms, the next step is to enable the inquiry form on the product page and choose how it should be displayed.

In the B2B For SureCart settings in the Inquiry Forms tab, you’ll find the Enable Inquiry Form/Button setting. Once enabled, you’ll see a dropdown labeled Inquiry Form Behavior, which lets you choose how the form should appear on the product page. You have three display options:

  • Popup Window – Show a button that opens the form in a popup overlay.
  • Inline Form – Display the full form directly on the product page.
  • Link to Another Page – Show a button that links to an external page where you’ve added your own form.

The settings panel dynamically updates based on your selection, so you’ll only see relevant options for the chosen display method. This ensures a simple and intuitive setup experience.

Option 1: Display Inquiry Form In A Popup Window

Our plugin makes it easy to display a convenient popup window on the product page with a built-in inquiry form. This is a great way to let customers ask questions or request more info without leaving the product page. The popup opens when a user clicks the customizable inquiry button.

After selecting Popup Window from the Inquiry Form Behavior setting, you’ll see several configuration options specifically for this method:

  • Inquiry Button Text – Enter the custom text you want to display on the button that triggers the popup. This could be something like “Request Info,” “Ask A Question,” or “Get A Quote.”
  • Inquiry Form Location – Choose where the inquiry button appears on the product page.
  • Inquiry Form Header Text – Set the title displayed at the top of the popup form window.
  • Inquiry Form Submit Button Text – Customize the text for the submit button inside the form.
  • Success Message – Define the message shown after the form is submitted. You can include variables like {name} and {email_address} to personalize the message using the actual form input values. The message supports rich text and HTML formatting.
  • Redirect After Submission – Optionally enable a redirect after form submission. The user will be redirected to another page a few seconds after seeing the success message.

This popup method is ideal for stores that want a clean interface and a focused experience for handling customer inquiries, especially in B2B or catalog mode use cases.

Option 2: Display Inquiry Form Inline On The Product Page

If you want customers to see the inquiry form directly without clicking a button, you can choose the Inline Form option. This method embeds the form directly on the product page, making it instantly visible and reducing friction for users who are ready to ask a question or request a quote.

After selecting Inline Form from the Inquiry Form Behavior setting, you’ll see the following customization options:

  • Inquiry Form Location – Choose where the form appears within the product page layout.
  • Inquiry Form Header Text – Set a title that appears above the form. You can use this to explain what the form is for, such as “Request A Quote” or “Ask Us About This Product.”
  • Inquiry Form Submit Button Text – Customize the text on the form’s submit button, such as “Send Inquiry” or “Submit Request.”
  • Success Message – Define the message shown after the form is submitted. Rich text and HTML formatting are supported, and you can use variables like {name} and {email_address} to personalize the message.
  • Redirect After Submission – Optionally enable this to redirect the user to another page after they submit the form and see the success message.

Option 3: Link Inquiry Button To A Custom Page

If you prefer to handle inquiries on a separate page, such as a detailed quote request form or a contact page, you can select the Link To Another Page option under Inquiry Form Behavior. This method displays an inquiry button on the product page that links to the page you’ve chosen.

After selecting this option, you’ll see the following settings:

  • Redirect Page – Select the page you want customers to visit after clicking the inquiry button. This is typically a custom page where you’ve added a form or additional details.
  • Open Inquiry Form Button Link In New Tab – Enable this option if you want the redirect to open in a new browser tab, keeping the product page open in the original tab.
  • Inquiry Button Location – Choose where the button should appear on the product page layout.

Additional Custom Integration Features

Beyond the built-in product page options, our plugin provides powerful tools for customizing how and where inquiry forms are displayed. Whether you’re using third-party form plugins, custom layouts, or page builders, you can take full control over the appearance and behavior of inquiry buttons and forms. These advanced features are ideal for developers or store owners who need more flexibility.

Shortcode For Inquiry Form/Button Integration

You can use the [surelywp_catalog_mode_button] shortcode to display the inquiry button or inline form outside of standard SureCart product pages. This is perfect for custom product layouts, landing pages, or other post types where you want customers to send inquiries.

The shortcode automatically respects your selected Inquiry Form Behavior — if you’ve set the form to Popup Window, it will show a clickable button that opens the form. If you’ve set it to Inline Form, the full inquiry form will be embedded directly where the shortcode is placed.

If you’re using the shortcode on a non-product page, you must include the product ID so the correct product name is passed into the form. You can find the product ID by navigating to SureCart > Products and checking the URL slug of the specific product in your browser’s address bar.

Here’s an example of how the shortcode would look with a product ID:
[surelywp_catalog_mode_button product_id=”5420a0f8-06d0-491f-9fcf-987b838c406c”]

With this flexibility, you can customize how and where customers interact with your products, even if you’re not using the standard SureCart product pages.

Inquiry Button Block/Page Builder Integration To Trigger Inquiry Form Popup

For those using the block editor or any other page builder, integrating the inquiry button has never been easier. With the Gutenberg Button block, you can trigger the inquiry form popup by simply adding the class surelywp-catalog-mode-button in the Additional CSS Class field. This enables the button to function as a trigger, opening the inquiry form directly related to the product.

If you’re adding the inquiry button on a non-product page, you’ll need to take an extra step to ensure the correct product’s form appears. In this case, you need to add two classes:

  • surelywp-catalog-mode-button
  • cm-product-id-{product_id}

Replace {product_id} with the actual product ID, which you can find by navigating to SureCart > Products and checking the URL of the individual product page. This ensures the inquiry form popup or form will display the correct product details when clicked.

Inquiry Form Type: Default vs. 3rd Party Form Shortcode

You can choose whether to use the built-in form fields provided by our plugin or insert a custom form using a supported third-party plugin.

  • Default Inquiry Form — This is the simplest option and uses the built-in fields included in the plugin. You can control which fields appear and which ones are required, with no extra plugins needed. We recommend this method to take advantage of our full system of showing the product details in the form.
  • 3rd Party Inquiry Form Shortcode — If you prefer to use a form from another plugin, simply paste the form’s shortcode in the provided field. This will completely replace the default form inside the popup window. Currently, this supports Contact Form 7, and we provide automatic product name injection by targeting a field with the ID #inquiry-form-product-name. This ensures the current product name is auto-filled when the form loads.

Add To Main Inquiry Form Settings & Features

Add To Inquiry Form Feature

The Add To Inquiry Form buttons allow customers to add individual products to a centralized inquiry form, enabling them to ask questions or request quotes for multiple items at once. Rather than inquiring about one product at a time, users can browse through your catalog and build a custom list of products they want to discuss, streamlining the sales process.

Add A “Add To Inquiry Form” Button On Product Pages

The Add to Inquiry Form button on product pages allows customers to conveniently add multiple products to their inquiry form without submitting individual requests for each item. This feature is especially useful for customers looking to inquire about several products at once, such as when requesting a quote or asking for additional details. With this button, customers can continue shopping and easily compile all their inquiries in one place. Here are the main settings:

  • Show Add To Inquiry Form Button – Enable this setting to display the “Add to Inquiry Form” button on the product page, allowing customers to add the product to their inquiry form with a single click.
  • Add To Inquiry Form Button Text – Customize the text used on the “Add to Inquiry Form” button. Tailor it to your store’s tone and voice, whether that’s “Add to Inquiry” or something more specific like “Request a Quote.”
  • Add To Inquiry Form Button Location – Choose where the button will appear on the product page. You can display it wherever best fits your product layout, such as near the product description, pricing section, or close to the “Add to Cart” button, keeping in mind some may be hidden if using Catalog Mode.
  • Redirect To Main Inquiry Form – Enable this option to automatically redirect customers to the main inquiry form page after they click the “Add to Inquiry Form” button. If disabled, customers will remain on the product page and can continue adding products to the inquiry form before proceeding to the main form.

Additional Custom Integration Features

For custom pages or post types outside the default SureCart product pages, you can integrate the “Add To Inquiry Form” button using two distinct methods: a shortcode or a CSS class. Both methods provide flexible options for adding products to the main inquiry form, making it easier for customers to inquire about multiple items at once.

Shortode For Add To Inquiry Form Button

If you’re displaying SureCart products on custom pages or post types outside of the default SureCart product pages, you can use the shortcode [surelywp_add_to_inquiry] anywhere in your content. This shortcode will display the Add To Inquiry Form button, allowing customers to add products to the main inquiry form for bulk inquiries.

If using this shortcode on a non-product page, make sure to specify the product ID to associate the button with the correct product. To find the product ID, navigate to SureCart > Products and locate it in the product page URL. Example usage:
[surelywp_add_to_inquiry product_id=”5420a0f8-06d0-491f-9fcf-987b838c406c”]

Add To Inquiry Form Button CSS Class For Page Builder Integration

For those using a page builder or the block editor, you can create a custom Add To Inquiry Form button by adding the CSS class surelywp-add-to-inquiry to any button element. This will enable the button to function as a trigger for adding the associated product to the main inquiry form.

If placing the button on a non-product page, you must also specify the product ID by adding an additional class cm-product-id-{product_id} in the Additional CSS Class field. This enables the button to function as a trigger and ensures the correct product is added to the main inquiry form when the button is clicked. You can find the product ID in SureCart > Products by checking the URL of the product page. In this case, you will add two classes:

  • surelywp-add-to-inquiry
  • cm-product-id-{product_id}

Replace {product_id} with the actual product ID, and the button will add this product to the main inquiry form.

Add “Add to Inquiry Form” Button On Shop Pages

You can add an Add to Inquiry Form button to every product on your SureCart shop page, making it easier for customers to select multiple items for an inquiry directly from the product list. This feature simplifies the process of requesting quotes or inquiring about multiple products, without needing to visit each product page.

  • Show Add To Inquiry Form Button — Enable this setting to display the button on each product within the SureCart Shop Page Product List block for products in catalog mode.
  • Add To Inquiry Form Button Text — Enter the custom text you want to use for the button, such as “Add to Inquiry” or “Request Quote.”
  • Redirect To Main Inquiry Form — Enable this option to automatically redirect users to the Main Inquiry Form page after they click the button. If disabled, users can continue browsing the shop and add multiple products to their inquiry before reviewing the main form. This gives customers more flexibility in how they interact with your store.

Main Inquiry Form Page Settings & Features

Main Inquiry Form Page Feature

The Main Inquiry Form page acts as the central hub for customers to review and submit their product inquiries. When customers click the “Add To Inquiry Form” button, whether from a product page or shop page, they are redirected here to complete the form. Here, they’ll see a detailed table of selected products, complete with images, names, prices, and quantities, allowing them to adjust or remove products before sending a single, consolidated inquiry or quote request.

Designating The Main Inquiry Form Page

A default “Inquiry Form” page is automatically created when the B2B For SureCart plugin is activated. This page is fully functional out of the box and serves as the Main Inquiry Form page for collecting and submitting inquiries. You can change this to a different page on your site at any time by selecting a new page from the dropdown list of existing WordPress pages.

Note: If Catalog Mode is set to “All Products,” this page will also be used as the redirect destination when the SureCart checkout is disabled.

Main Inquiry Form Settings

After choosing which page will serve as the Main Inquiry Form, you can customize how the form behaves when customers submit their inquiry. These settings give you full control over the messaging and actions that follow form submission.

  • Submit Button Text — Enter the custom text you want to display on the inquiry form submit button.
  • Success Message — Write a message to display after the form is submitted. You can optionally use variables such as {name} and {email_address} to personalize the message with values entered into the form.
  • After Submission Action — Choose what should happen once the form is submitted:
    • Redirect to Another Page — Send users to a different page after submission.
    • Show Button — Display a custom button below the success message for users to click.

If Redirect To Another Page Is Selected:

    • Redirect Page — Select the page where users should be redirected after submitting the form.

      If Show Button Is Selected:

      • After Submission Button Text — Enter the text to display on the button.
      • Button Page Link — Select the page that the button will link to.
      • Open in New Tab — Enable this option to open the button link in a new browser tab.

      Additional Integration Methods

In addition to using the default layout and options for the main inquiry form page, our plugin offers extra flexibility through block editor and shortcode options. This allows you to fully control how and where the inquiry form appears, whether you prefer using the built-in block, shortcode, or integrating with a third-party form plugin.

      Inquiry Form Block

If you’re using the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg), you can simply add the Inquiry Form block to your designated inquiry form page. This block provides a seamless way to display the default inquiry form without needing to work with shortcodes. You’ll find it listed as Inquiry Form in the block inserter once the plugin is activated.

      Default Inquiry Form Shortcode

If you prefer more control over the layout, or you’re using a page builder that doesn’t support blocks, you can insert the default inquiry form using a shortcode. Just copy and paste the following shortcode into the content area of the selected inquiry form page: [surelywp_cm_inquiry_form] This will display the standard inquiry form provided by the plugin.

      3rd Party Inquiry Form Shortcode

If you want to use a custom inquiry form from a supported third-party form plugin, simply copy the shortcode provided by your form plugin and paste it into the content area of your designated inquiry form page.

Important: To automatically insert the selected product names into your third-party form, be sure to set the field ID for the product name field to #inquiry-form-product-name. This ensures the inquiry data is properly passed to your form.

Keep in mind that using a third-party form means you will not benefit from our built-in product table layout, which neatly displays product names, quantities, and pricing for easier review and management. For the most seamless experience, we recommend using the default inquiry form block or shortcode instead.

      Form Fields Settings & Features

Customize The Default Inquiry Form Field Options

The Form Fields editor is used to customize the fields displayed in both the “Inquire Now” form on individual product pages and the “Main Inquiry Form.” This shared configuration ensures consistency across the user experience while giving you complete control over the form structure.

      Form Fields Editor Interface

In this interface, each form field can be toggled open to access its individual settings. You can drag and rearrange the order of the fields, write custom labels, choose to enable or disable each field, and mark them as required or optional. This editor is designed to be flexible and user-friendly, giving you complete control over what your customers see and what information they’re asked to provide.

      • Drag-and-drop field ordering — Rearrange most fields in the form to match your preferred layout.
      • Editable labels, visibility, and required status — Set the label text, toggle whether the field is shown, and choose if it must be filled out before submission.
      • Shared across both forms — These settings apply to both the product page’s “Inquire Now” form and the main inquiry form page.

      Some fields include additional settings:

      • Product Field Options — Always shown at the top of the form and cannot be reordered or disabled.
        • Show Price — Toggle to display or hide product prices in the form’s product table.
        • Show Quantity Selector — Allow users to specify quantities for each product, useful for bulk or wholesale inquiries.
      • Email Field — Always enabled and required by default; no option to disable.
      • Other Standard Fields — Includes Name, Subject, and Message, each with options to set the label, show/hide the field, and mark as required.

Add New Fields To Inquiry Form

You can now also add more fields to the form, including input fields and text areas. Just click the “Add New Field” button and select the field type from the dropdown, write a label, choose to enable it in the form, and optionally set it as required.

Customize The Success Message After Inquiry Form Submission

A default success message is shown after any inquiry form is submitted, and now you can fully customize it. This applies to both the Inquire Now form on individual product pages and the Main Inquiry Form, with separate settings for each one. You can personalize the message with your own wording and even use variables like {name} and {email_address} to automatically display the user’s actual details, creating a more polished and professional experience.

      Email Template Settings & Features

      Customize Inquiry Form Email Templates

The plugin includes two customizable email templates located in the Email Templates tab — one sent to the site admin and one sent to the customer after submitting the inquiry form. Both templates include a full rich text and HTML editor, allowing you to personalize the subject and message content.

      • Admin Email — Notifies the site admin when a new product inquiry is submitted.
      • Customer Confirmation Email — Sends an automatic response to the customer to confirm receipt of their inquiry. This email can be enabled or disabled as needed.

      Both email templates support dynamic variables that automatically insert relevant information into the message, such as the product name, customer details, and site information. Available variables include: {admin_name}, {product_name}, {inquiry_name}, {inquiry_email}, {inquiry_subject}, {inquiry_message}, {website_name}, and {website_URL}
