Catalog Mode Settings & Features
Explore all the powerful settings to set up, use, and customize the Catalog Mode feature!
Enable The Catalog Mode Feature
Our plugin enhances SureCart by adding powerful catalog mode features, seamlessly integrating with both default SureCart product pages and those built with page builders. With these features, you can easily control product visibility, disable the checkout process, and customize the shopping experience without the need to alter your existing store setup.
To get started, go to the B2B For SureCart settings, open the Catalog Mode tab, and enable the Catalog Mode feature.

Apply Catalog Mode To Specific User Roles
Catalog Mode can be applied to all visitors or restricted to specific WordPress user roles. This allows you to create unique purchasing experiences for different customer groups without affecting the rest of your store.
For example, you can enable Catalog Mode only for wholesale customers, distributors, or other approved users while continuing to display prices and checkout options for retail shoppers. When user role targeting is enabled, only users with the selected roles will experience Catalog Mode, while all other users can browse and purchase products normally.
Simply select one or more WordPress user roles from the Catalog Mode settings to control who sees hidden prices, disabled purchase options, inquiry forms, quote requests, and other Catalog Mode functionality.

Enable Products For Catalog Mode
You can enable catalog mode for individual products in two convenient ways: either directly from the SureCart product page, where you can manage each product individually, or by selecting products in bulk through the SurelyWP addon settings for a more streamlined process.

Option 1: Choose Products For Catalog Mode In The B2B For SureCart Settings
To apply catalog mode in bulk, navigate to the Catalog Mode tab in the B2B For SureCart settings. Under Products For Catalog Mode, select one of three options:
- All Products to enable catalog mode across your entire store.
- Specific Products to select individual products by name.
- Specific Product Collections to apply catalog mode to entire groups of products at once.
This gives you a fast, centralized way to control which items appear as a browse-only catalog.
Option 2: Enable Catalog Mode from SureCart Product Pages
If you prefer to enable catalog mode on a per-product basis, you can do so directly from the SureCart product page. This option gives you fine-grained control, allowing you to toggle catalog mode for individual products as needed.
Note: If you’ve already enabled catalog mode for “All Products” in the B2B For SureCart settings, this option won’t appear on the product pages.

Customize Default SureCart Product Pages in Catalog Mode
Easily customize your default SureCart product pages by hiding or showing key elements when products are in catalog mode. Use these settings to create a clean, browse-only layout that suits your business needs while focusing customer attention on inquiry and quote options.

- Hide Price – Disable the product price display on the product page for catalog-mode items.
- Hide Pricing Options – Remove tiered pricing selectors so customers only see the product without any price choices.
- Hide Variants – Remove variant buttons or dropdown selectors.
- Hide Quantity Selector – Eliminate the quantity input field, perfect for one-off inquiries or quote requests.
- Hide Add To Cart & Buy Now Buttons – Remove both purchase buttons to prevent direct checkout and guide customers toward your inquiry workflow.

Show Or Hide Elements In Any Page Builder With Custom CSS Classes
If you are using the WordPress block editor or any other pages builder, you can control the visibility of specific elements on your product pages using custom CSS classes. This gives you even more flexibility when customizing your catalog mode setup with any page builder.

- Hide Anything with CSS Class: Hide any element containing the class “surelywp-catalog-mode-hide” on product pages, but only when the product is in catalog mode. This allows you to keep certain elements hidden from customers who are browsing in catalog mode.
- Show Anything with CSS Class: Alternatively, you can choose to show elements with the class “surelywp-catalog-mode-show” exclusively when a product is in catalog mode, ensuring that specific content or elements only appear in this mode.
Show A Custom Message On SureCart Product Pages
You can display a custom message on the product page whenever a product is in catalog mode. This is perfect for letting customers know how to inquire about the product, request a quote, or get in touch for more details. The new rich text editor makes it easy to add formatted content, links, or styled notes, giving you full control over how the message appears.

Hide Price And Quick Add Button In SureCart Shop Page Product List
As part of the Catalog Mode feature, you can hide the product price and Quick Add button from the SureCart product list (shop page) when a product is in catalog mode. These settings help create a true catalog-style experience by removing both pricing information and purchase actions from your product listings.

Disable Checkout and Redirect Users to an Inquiry Form When All Products Are in Catalog Mode
When you set Catalog Mode to “All Products,” you can disable the SureCart checkout process and redirect customers to a custom page. This is perfect for businesses wanting to showcase products while preventing immediate purchases.
Instead of allowing checkout, customers are redirected to a designated page. We recommend using our Inquiry Forms page and features, allowing customers to submit questions, requests, or express interest before making a purchase decision. This not only streamlines the process but also opens up a direct line of communication for B2B sales inquiries.
