Intro
We’re thrilled to announce the release of version 1.7 of Services for SureCart, a major update that introduces two very valuable features, milestones and revisions. This version marks a huge leap forward for service-based orders, bringing greater structure and timeline management to both sellers and customers.
With this update, you can now create custom project milestones, manage delivery timelines, and handle client revisions, all from within SureCart’s Customer Dashboard.

Introducing Milestones
The new Milestones feature allows you to divide a service delivery into clearly defined stages or a structured schedule. Each milestone includes its own title, delivery files, and completion status, helping you manage multi-part projects with clarity and flexibility. Every milestone also appears in the status tracker, giving both you and your customer an easy way to follow progress step-by-step.
Here’s a look at the new Milestones tab inside each service configuration. You can see multiple milestones listed and one open to reveal its individual settings, including title, approval, revision limits, and delivery deadlines.

By default, each service starts with a single milestone — just like before — representing one round of delivery and revisions. You can now add additional milestones only when needed. Each milestone can have a custom name to reflect its purpose, such as Draft 1, Design Proof, Logo Finalization, or Website Launch.
Within each milestone, you can also choose whether customer approval is required before moving on to the next step. For even greater control, you can set an expected delivery time in days for each milestone, keeping your workflow organized and on schedule.
New Revision Controls
Our new revision controls give you more flexibility in managing client feedback. Within each milestone, you can decide whether clients are allowed to request changes after delivery, and, if so, how many times they can do so.
Previously, when a delivery was rejected, it automatically implied that revisions were needed. Now, you have the freedom to decide whether a milestone requires approval at all. If approval is required, revision requests are enabled automatically, and you can specify how many are allowed. This ensures every service has just the right level of review without unnecessary back-and-forth.
Below is an example of how the milestones appear in the Status Tracker once a service is active. Each stage is clearly labeled, and the active milestone now displays extra details, such as the delivery date and number of revisions remaining, directly in the tracker for quick reference.
What’s Next
We’re already preparing for our next major feature: SureCart Reviews integration. Once SureCart officially releases its reviews system, which they said is coming soon, we’ll integrate it directly into Services for SureCart, just like how Fiver or Upwork handle reviews after a project is completed. This will allow customers to leave feedback on completed services and provide you with feedback and social proof for the associated product.
Ready To Try The New Features?
We’re incredibly proud of how far this addon has come and grateful for everyone who’s been sharing feedback and suggestions. This release is a big milestone for the project (pun intended!), and we can’t wait to see how you use it to elevate your client workflows. Update to Services for SureCart 1.7 today to start using milestones and revisions!
