This Toolkit for SureCart update merges the Lead Magnets addon, expands FluentCRM filters, adds new user switching links, improves dashboard tab visibility controls, and introduces a flexible downloads shortcode.

This version 1.3 update to the Toolkit for SureCart is one of our biggest yet. We’ve expanded the FluentCRM integration with powerful new filtering options, added more user switching locations across WordPress and SureCart, introduced visibility display settings for the Customer Dashboard tabs, and brought several UI and workflow improvements across the board. Most importantly, the Lead Magnets addon is now fully integrated into the Toolkit, simplifying setup while adding new helpful features such as inline forms, a new block, improved form controls, and a downloads shortcode.

Toolkit For SureCart

A collection of handy tools for store owners and admins!

Merged Lead Magnets Addon Into Toolkit

As part of this update, we’ve officially merged the standalone Lead Magnets addon into the Toolkit for SureCart plugin. This change is part of our ongoing effort to simplify plugin management and reduce the number of separate installs required to get the features you need.

If you already have both plugins installed, you’ll see an admin notice inside WordPress with information about deactivating the old Lead Magnets plugin and continuing to use the feature via the Toolkit. All of your existing lead magnet shortcodes, settings, and files will continue to work exactly as before, with no manual migration required. We do suggest double-checking all your settings, though, after the change to ensure everything is correct.

We’ll also be sending an email to all existing Lead Magnets customers with the full details, so if you’ve used it before, keep an eye out for that message. This change helps ensure the feature receives regular improvements alongside our other Toolkit features, making onboarding easier for new users who expect lead capture to be a built-in part of their SureCart workflow.

New And Improved Lead Magnets Features

Along with merging the Lead Magnets addon into the Toolkit for SureCart plugin, this update includes several important improvements and new features. These enhancements give you more control over the subscription experience, improve the UI, and open up new layout and integration options.

Here’s what’s new:

Improved Settings With Tabs And Better Labels And Descriptions

The Lead Magnets settings have been fully reorganized within the Toolkit plugin. In addition to moving the settings under a dedicated “Lead Magnets” tab, we’ve added secondary tabs to group related options, making everything easier to find and configure.

We also went through and updated many setting labels and descriptions across the entire feature to be more consistent and easier to understand.

Refreshed Subscription Form UI

We’ve completely overhauled the backend Subscription Form Fields UI to match the new flexible interface used in our other addons. You can now drag and reorder fields, show or hide specific fields, and customize the label and description text for each one. We have also added the ability to customize the form heading text, submit button text, and the message displayed to existing customers who attempt to submit the form again.

Consent Checkbox Field With Privacy Policy Link Support

A new Consent Checkbox field has been added to the Lead Magnet subscription form. You can enable or disable the checkbox, set whether it’s required before submission, and customize the checkbox text. The text supports a {privacy_policy_link} variable, which will automatically insert a link to your privacy policy if a URL is provided. Consent data is stored in the user’s meta data when the form is submitted.

New Lead Magnet Tab In The Customer Dashboard

We’ve added a brand-new Lead Magnet tab to the Customer Dashboard, providing an easy way for customers to access all their lead magnet downloads in one place. This tab can be fully customized, allowing you to set the tab’s label text and choose an icon that fits your site’s style. When customers log in, they’ll see a list of all their lead magnet files available for download, creating a seamless experience that keeps your valuable content front and center.

“Lead Magnet” Badge In SureCart Orders List

To help identify orders created through the Lead Magnet feature, we’ve added a new “Lead Magnet” badge in the Type column of the SureCart Orders list. This makes it easy to spot lead magnet submissions at a glance. Like our other badges (such as Trial or Recovered), this is controlled through the Admin Columns settings tab, not the Lead Magnets settings. You can choose whether to show or hide this badge, just like any other order type indicator.

Inline Subscription Form Option On Product Pages

You now have the option to display the Lead Magnet subscription form inline directly on the product page, instead of opening in a popup. This makes it easier to create seamless lead capture flows, especially if you want to feature the form more prominently on landing pages or blog posts.

Updated Shortcode With Inline Support

The [surelywp_lead_magnet] shortcode has been updated to support the new inline display mode. So whether you set the display method to popup triggered by the button or inline, the same shortcode will work either way to display for the form or the button.

New Lead Magnet Block

We’ve added a Lead Magnets block for the WordPress block editor. This block makes it easy to insert a Lead Magnet subscription form into any post or page, and gives you the same features as the shortcode to display either the popup button or an inline form.

New Hook For Lead Magnet Orders

We’ve added a new developer-focused action hook to make it easier to run custom code when a manual order is created—such as those triggered by lead magnet checkouts. This was inspired by a customer who wanted to tag users after a lead magnet “sale” and needed access to basic checkout details like the price ID, product name, and email. Rather than relying on third-party integrations, we’ve introduced a native hook that provides this data at the right moment. Developers can now use do_action( ‘surelywp_tk_lm_on_new_order_create’, $checkout, $product_id, $user_id ) to tie into the order creation event and perform any custom actions they need. This is especially useful for lightweight automations or connecting with custom-built systems. The hook will be available starting in version 1.3.

New Downloads Features

New Thumbnail Support On Downloads

By default, the thumbnail does not show on the SureCart downloads. We thought this needed improved, so we added support for this. Simply go to the Miscellaneous settings and enable the toggle, and all your image downloads will show the thumbnail. Pretty cool! This applies in the product pages and the Customer Dashboard.

New Downloads Shortcode For Displaying Purchased Files

We’ve added a new [surelywp_downloads] shortcode that allows customers to view and download the files associated with their previous orders. This can be used anywhere on your site, such as in the Customer Dashboard, client portal, or other page, to provide users with convenient access to their purchased files. The shortcode includes options for showing or hiding thumbnails and file details using shortcode attributes.

Lead Magnet Support For Downloads Shortcode

The new Downloads shortcode also supports Lead Magnet orders, meaning customers who submit a lead magnet form and receive free downloadable files will see those files listed when this shortcode is used. It’s a great way to reinforce the value of your lead magnets while giving users access to their content in one familiar place.

Expanded FluentCRM Filters, Segments, and Automations with SureCart Data

The latest update to our FluentCRM Integration in the Toolkit for SureCart addon introduces a powerful set of new filters and conditions that make it easier than ever to personalize your marketing and automation based on actual SureCart customer behavior. While the original version supported filtering by products, product prices, and product variants, this new release goes much deeper by adding support for product collections, total order count, total order value, first and last order dates, and even whether a customer has used a specific coupon.

This major update makes your FluentCRM filters and automations much more data-driven, giving you the ability to respond to customer activity in highly personalized and relevant ways. Whether you’re building smarter segments, re-engaging inactive buyers, or rewarding your most loyal customers, you now have the tools to do it, all based on real SureCart purchase behavior.

These new options are available across the FluentCRM plugin interface in areas like the Contact Filters, Custom Segments, and Automation Check Conditions, which means you can build smarter lists, create dynamic customer segments, and set up tailored automation triggers that respond to real purchase data. Below is what’s new and some ways to use the latest features!

Product Collections

You can now filter contacts by the product collections they’ve purchased from, which is ideal if your store groups related products into categories like courses, bundles, tiers, or seasonal offers. For example, if you offer multiple coaching programs under a “Pro Coaching” collection, you can easily segment all buyers from that group, regardless of which specific product they chose. This makes it simple to run collection-specific upsells or follow-up automations.

Total Order Count

This new filter allows you to segment contacts based on how many orders they’ve placed in total. Whether you want to identify first-time buyers or create a “loyal customer” segment for those who’ve ordered repeatedly, this filter gives you flexibility. You might use this to trigger an automation after a customer’s second order or to enroll high-frequency buyers into a VIP campaign with exclusive offers.

Total Order Value

With total order value now available as a filter, you can track how much a contact has spent across all purchases. This is especially useful for identifying high-value customers. You can create a dynamic segment of top spenders and target them with early access to new products, thank-you discounts, or personalized messages based on their overall value to your business.

First Order Date

Being able to filter by the date of a customer’s first order opens up a wide range of time-based strategies. You might create a segment of brand-new customers who placed their first order in the last 7 days to trigger onboarding emails. Or you could celebrate customer anniversaries by identifying those whose first purchase was exactly one year ago and sending them a special thank-you message or limited-time coupon.

Last Order Date

This filter tracks the most recent order date, which is helpful for identifying inactive customers or triggering re-engagement flows. You can build an automation that checks if someone hasn’t purchased in 60 or 90 days and then sends them a reminder, a special offer, or even a survey asking why they haven’t come back.

Used Coupons

You can now segment contacts based on whether they’ve used a specific coupon code in one of their orders. This makes it easy to follow up on specific campaigns—for example, everyone who used a “BLACKFRIDAY2025” code could receive a limited-time upsell offer or be excluded from future promotions. You can also create automations tied to coupon redemption, such as sending bonus content or initiating a post-purchase funnel after a discount has been applied.

Expanded User Switching Support in SureCart and WordPress

The User Switching feature in Toolkit for SureCart just got a big upgrade. We’ve expanded its reach across more parts of the SureCart and WordPress admin areas to make switching into a user’s account faster and more convenient, especially for store owners and support teams.

Now Available In SureCart Orders And Subscriptions Lists

Thanks to recent changes in SureCart, it’s now possible to show Switch to User links directly in the Orders list and Subscriptions list. Previously, this was only possible on individual records or customer profiles, but now you can quickly switch from the main lists without any extra clicks. This is a major time-saver when reviewing recent activity or handling support requests.

Added To WordPress Users And User Profiles

We’ve also added support for switching users from the standard WordPress Users list and each user’s profile page. While there are other plugins that do this, including it here means you don’t need a separate solution—and it keeps your workflow consistent across the admin. Whether you’re managing store customers or regular site users, you can now switch to their account in one click.

Smaller Improvements and Enhancements

Alongside the other main new features, this update includes several smaller improvements requested by our users. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:

Tab Visibility Condition Setting For Dashboard Tabs

We’ve expanded the Customer Dashboard Tabs Customizer with a new visibility control setting. Previously, you could hide tabs based on user role or SureMembers access, but a customer requested the ability to show tabs only for selected users rather than just hiding them.

To address this, we added a “Tab Visibility Condition” option. When using user roles or when SureMembers isn’t installed, you can now choose whether the tab should be visible or hidden for selected roles. Likewise, when using SureMembers access groups, the same condition can be applied based on group access. This makes it easier to create personalized dashboards where specific tabs are selectively shown or hidden depending on who is logged in.

“Settings” Link in the Plugins List

For added convenience, you’ll now see a “Settings” link directly in the WordPress Plugins list next to the Toolkit for SureCart entry. This makes it easier to jump straight to the plugin’s settings without navigating through the SureCart menu.

Improved Readability Of Setting Descriptions

We updated the text color used for setting descriptions across the Toolkit interface. The original text color was a bit too light and harder to read, especially in longer settings panels. This small visual change ensures better clarity and accessibility for everyone.

Ready To Try The New Features?

This release continues our goal of making Toolkit for SureCart the most helpful and powerful companion to SureCart itself. By merging features where it makes sense and listening closely to real-world use cases from you, our wonderful customers, we’re making it easier for store owners and developers to get more done without juggling plugins. Thanks again to everyone who submitted feedback and feature requests, as every update is the direct result of your input.

P.S. We will be back very soon with several new feature updates, like seriously, soon! : )
